(July 20, 2002 - present) (3 children)
Chyler told Ellen she met hubby Nathan West at an audition for her first pilot when "she was sixteen years old".
It turned out Chyler and her husband were going out for the same pilot(WB series Saving Graces).
Where is how the Meet Cute comes in.
Chyler said "I turned the corner for the audition (in LA) and there were four guys sitting in the waiting room".
My husband "was the only guy sitting on the ground and I thought he was kind of interesting" plus "he was extremely good looking".
"And I saw him and I honestly knew he was the guy I was going to marry.
I had the strangest sensation.
It was bizarre."
In fact, the audition was the location where the couple shared their very first kiss.
Ironically, as Chyler mentioned on Ellen, they "had their first kisses in front of the network, in front of 27 network executives".
Their first kisses were recorded on film which Chyler thought "was awesome".
They later moved in together, and due to some family troubles, they both had drug addictions. They later joined a Christian church service, and this helped them break free of their addiction.
West proposed on the set of "not another teen movie"(Nathan played the fake Freddie Prinze, Jr. type), and so it was also recorded on film.
On July 20, 2002, Leigh married fellow actor Nathan West. The couple worked together in 2000 on the television series 7th Heaven, playing Mary Camden's (Jessica Biel) troubled friends Frankie and Johnnie. Leigh and West have three children – a son and two daughters: Noah Wilde (born December 2003), Taelyn Leigh (born September 2006), and Anniston Kae (born May 7, 2009).
Leigh has said that she and her husband have a pact in which the person who guesses the baby's sex correctly gets to choose the name. When pregnant with Noah, she guessed she was having a boy so she chose the first name and Nathan gave him his middle name. For Taelyn, Nathan correctly guessed it was a girl, so he named her. Their third child, also a girl, was guessed correctly by West; he chose the name Anniston Kae.[12][13]
Leigh is a Christian and credits her faith and a "really awesome church" with giving her and her husband "a reason to live."[14][15] She also supports The Thirst Project, a non-profit organization in America which aims to bring safe drinking water to communities around the world.
