An old seafarer by the name of G.B. Hutchins gave me info long ago about himself and Frsncesca de Scaffa and Bruce Cabot. She seems to have been from Argentina, daughter of opera stars, all visiting Lisbon, Portugal at the time. The time might have been WWII era, or shortly thereafter. That city was a hive of spies and foreign agents in those war years. Cabot was a military intelligence officer. Hutchins was a communications expert for Pan American Airways as far as Istanbul. Hutchins shared sweetheart with Cabot, though reluctantly. Cabot got her pregnant. The two shifted to Hollywood, where I guess they married. Hutchins was posted to Istanbul, then to New York. End of story.
