Orson Welles and Lucille Ball met orignally in 1939. Where Mr. Welles was contacted by RKO Studio`s to due 2 Films for them. The second Film was The Smiler With The Knife RKO declined the film project becuase they lacked faith in Lucille Ball`s ability to carry the leading lady Role. In 1956 Orson Welles Guest starred on one of The I Love Lucy Shows and he also began Filming a projected Plot For Desilu. The studio owned by Lucille Ball, her Husband Desi Arnaz, who had recently purchased the former RKO studios. The Film was The Fountain Of Youth , Based on a true story by John Collier. Originally deemed not viable as a pilot, the Film was`nt aired until 1958. It won the Peabody Award for excellence. Lucy and Orson (E)1939-1958 (working relationship).

(George) Orson Welles made the prototype of the modern American film with Citizen Hearst (sorry: Kane) in his early 20s. He is a genius who was partly consumed by his own success, but the film world will forever reap from his innovations. He must have been like The Brain, occasionally roaring in his double-base voice; THINGS WILL BE DIFFERENT WHEN I TAKE OVER THE WORLD!

Orson wells was denied entry into hollywood`s elite` because he was not jewish, his life destroyed by jealous people who could not stand his talent or genius, the same thing happened to Geroge Lucas.

Orson Welles was a plenteous and diverse creative talent who was simply too ambitious, creative, stubborn and daring for Hollywood filmmaking; he was truly one of the few American-born directors that monumentally mattered during his lifetime, and despite the ruination of a few of his films, Welles still contains one of the most eminent and fascinating resumes of any filmmaker to have ever lived.

George Orson Welles (ˈwɛlz; May 6, 1915 – October 10, 1985) was an American actor, director, writer and producer who worked in theater, radio and film. He is best remembered for his innovative work in all three media: in theatre, most notably Caesar (1937), a groundbreaking Broadway adaptation of Julius Caesar; in radio, the 1938 broadcast "The War of the Worlds", one of the most famous in the history of radio; and in film, Citizen Kane (1941), consistently ranked as one of the all-time greatest films.
