Amanda and Johan starting dating in the late 1990s. In 2007, the two were married in a lavish wedding ceremony in a church located in Hemsjö. At their wedding was Idol-Christoffer Hiding who sang for the bridal couple, accompanied by a pianist. According to Sport Bladet tasks, the couple honeymooned in New York. Johan`s best man was actual his two brothers Patrick and Peter Elmander who are both Swedish soccer players. Unfortunately, there was a bad storm but that did not affect the wedding. The newly-weds then fled the rain of a veteran of the mark, Daimler, while over 200 guests followed in four buses and a long line of cars. In August 2008, the couple welcomed their first child, daughter Alice. The couple currently resides in England where Elmander plays for the Bolton Wanderers.
