"Mike and I are very pleased to announce that we [are] expecting our first child," the Swedish athlete writes on her blog. "We have had a lot of exciting changes in the past few months, and adding a new addition to our family later this fall will certainly be at the top of that list."
Sorenstam, 38 – who announced her retirement in May 2008 – and husband Mike McGee got engaged in August 2007. The couple tied the knot in January at the Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Orlando.
In August 2007 she became engaged to Mike McGee, the managing director for the ANNIKA brand of businesses and son of former PGA Tour and Champions Tour player Jerry McGee. They married at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club in Orlando, Florida, on 10 January 2009.
Their daughter Ava Madelyn McGee was born 1 September 2009. On 21 March 2011, Sörenstam gave birth to a son, William Nicholas McGee, nine weeks premature.
