Leslie Howard and Violette Cunnington met during the filming of Pygmalion. She was Gabriel Pascal's assistant. Later, she became Leslie Howard's secretary and mistress, and followed him in the United States during the making of Gone With the Wind and Intermezzo. When Leslie Howard went back to England, she followed him. She appeared in two of Leslie Howard's films, "Pimpernel" Smith and The First of the Few.
