An emotionally devastated Linda Evan rushed to the side of her ex-husband, Stan Herman, when she got the news that he was suffering from throat canser. The former Dynasty beauty is helping to nurse 51-year-old Herman back to health, and pals says she and the real-estate multimillionare are even considering remarrying. It`s killing Linda to watch Stan suffer so much, said one friend. He`s very sick and Linda`s an emotional wreck over it because they`d even been talking about possibly remarrying. Added another close friend : Linda has been with him through much of his ordeal. She and Stan have remained close since they got divorced, and when they broke up it wasn`t because they didn`t love eatch other. Linda was tired of being a housewife and needed to pursue her own career. Now that both she and Stan are successes in their own fields, the thought of settling down is very appealing to her. Sources says Linda and Stan have been seeing each other again for several weeks, and the old romance is sizzling. Stan`s illness scared Linda and made her realize how precious is the time spent with those she loves, said an insider Those who know them both wouldn`t be surprised if they remarried and gave their love another chance. A spokesman for Her man confirmed he was recently hospitalized and underwent surgery, but denied he had canseer. He`s back at work, and he`s resumed his life, says the spokeman. But close friends insist it was thyroid canser. He`s not looking so great, one source says, He`s pale, but upbeat, and says the doctors belive they have removed all the cancerous tissue. Linda has been with him through much of his ordeal. Having her back in his life is the best medicine he could get. Linda, 46, and Stan were divorced in 1981 after three years of marriage, but they remained the best of friends. Sources say Linda remained loyal to Herman because of the way he helped rebuild her confidence after first husband John Derek dumped her for a younger woman - Bo Derek. Linda and Stan have always loved each other. In many ways they were perfect mate, says a pal. When they broke up, he gave her the Beverly Hills house where she still lives, and he helped her become a millionaire on her own. Linda herself says : He helped me learn to think for myself, and I believe it was perfect for me to marry Stan when I did. Linda is trying to help make Stan as happy as posible says a friend.
