Died when he fell by accident from the 11th floor. He was supposedly drunk that night because him and his girlfriend was celebrating that she was pregnant. Due to his "funny" personality he wanted to make a joke hanging from the balcony but his hands couldn't sustain his body. When his girlfriend came to help him he dropped himself to avoid his girlfriends fall. His mother died the same day when she learned about his death.
Olmedo died in the vacation town of Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires Province, on March 5, 1988. According to police reports, he slipped off his eleventh-floor apartment's balcony. It is believed that he tried, possibly under the influence of alcohol or cocaine
to perform a high-wire stunt on the balcony and lost his balance. The only witness to his last moments was girlfriend Nancy Herrera, who was pregnant with his posthumous son Alberto
