Hard-partying Manhattan playboy hotelier Vikram Chatwal is engaged to Spanish ­supermodel Esther Cañadas.
A spokesperson for Chatwal said he proposed to the actress and model, who’s 36, at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Tuesday afternoon with an 8.5-carat ring.
If they make it up the aisle, this could be the second marriage for Chatwal and third for Cañadas. No wedding date has been set, but they say it will be a intimate ceremony.
Chatwal, whose properties include the Dream Hotels, had been previously linked to Lindsay Lohan after the two were caught cozying up at his home in 2011.
Over the weekend, Lohan and Chatwal were spotted at dinner at BLT Steak at the Capri Southampton with her mother, Dina, and former “Real Housewives” star Jill ­Zarin.
But reps for Chatwal say he and Lohan are “just friends.” Like Lohan, Chatwal completed a recent stint in rehab after he was arrested in April for drug possession at a Florida airport. Reps for Chatwal say he and Cañadas recently rekindled their romance.
Chatwal wed actress Priya Sachdev in 2006, in a lavish and traditional Indian wedding ­organized by Vikram’s father, hotelier Sant Singh Chatwal.
The nuptials reportedly lasted a week, with 10 parties in three cities and with more than 1,000 guests, including Bill Clinton, Deepak Chopra, photographer Sante D’Orazio, banker Matthew Mellon and model Patricia Velásquez. The marriage ended in 2011.
Cañadas — most famous for her appearances in DKNY ads — was married to male model Mark Vanderloo in the late 1990s, then race-car driver Sete Gibernau. The couple split in 2008.
But, as usual, romance is complicated for Chatwal, who after confirming his engagement, hours later bizarrely said via text, “We changed our minds.”
When we warned him not to tell untruths to Page Six, Chatwal replied, “Your [sic] fiesty.”
Perhaps he and Lohan really are perfect for each other.
