Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has found a new — and even younger — galpal after the bustup of his engagement to former tour accountant Erin Brady.
Word outta the Left Coast is that Tyler, 65, has taken up with his twentysomething personal assistant Aimee Preston.
“They’re not exactly dating but it’s not a strictly professional relationship, either, it’s in the early stages. She has been working with him for a few years now,” a friend of Aimee’s told the tabs.
But actually, the two have been canoodling — and jet-setting — for a while. Last June they were spotted on a romantic stroll in Italy, Steven with his arm around Aimee. And they showed up a few days later, arm-in-arm in New York City.
And lately they’ve been together at Steven’s new home in Maui, where they were photographed riding a motorcycle together and watching the sunset.
Over the years Tyler has seldom been without female companionship. His first wife was Cyrinda Foxe, the former bride of New York Dolls lead singer David Johansen and the mother of his daughter, Mia. Tyler also fathered actress-daughter Liv Tyler during a fling with her mother Bebe Buell. (For years Buell told Liv that her father was Todd Rundgren.)
In 1988, a year after he and Foxe divorced, Tyler married his second wife, Teresa Barrick. They have two kids, Chelsea, 25, and Taj, 23, and divorced in 2006. Shortly thereafter, Tyler took up with Brady, and five years into the relationship they announced their engagement. Two years later, they called it quits.
As for Aimee, she was previously married to talent agent Scott Schachter and also worked as Donald Trump’s personal assistant.
The source says the two “are certainly having fun together.”
