Although Marsh Mokhtari was born in the UK, his father`s nautical career took him to Persia for his first six years. He then spent the next 19 years in the UK. He holds a degree in `Medical Physics` from the University of Newcastle. While at Newcastle he played American football for the UK national team and had a short career as a pro-athlete, (playing both rugby and American football) he then had a `real-job` in London, focusing on the corporate world of executive search. It wasn`t until 2001 when Marsh was taking a sabbatical in Australia that he found his true passion.
While in Sydney, he had a fortuitous encounter with the film, `The Matrix Reloaded`, and found himself on `set` for 2 weeks as an extra. This very short taste was enough to give Marsh the momentum needed to give up a high playing executive job to focus on a `whim`. He moved to Los Angeles in 2003 and enrolled in an acting class, he`s been guest-starring in roles ever since, on shows such as, `CSI: NY`, `The Young and The Restless` and `The Closer`. Currently Marsh is working on an international show for the National Geographic channel, called `Perilous Journeys`, set to air late fall 2008.
