I am looking for the words to one of his older songs out of the 50`s, that may be called `Nicodemus the slave`; Nicodemus the slave was of African birth and was bought for a bag full of gold . I`m hoping that someone has the words, thanks.

Mr.Ives is such a wonderful memory for me.Just hearing his voice makes me feel such a peacefullness inside. I will forever love this dear old man as if he were my very own grandfather. I watch everything I can and love to listen to him sing. Just look at his sweet, kind, gentle face and I dare you to not just fall in love with him too. God rest his soul. I will keep him in my heart forever.

Biography

Burl Icle Ivanhoe Ives (June 14, 1909 – April 14, 1995) was an American actor, writer, and folk music singer. As an actor, Ives's work included comedies, dramas, and voice work in theater, television, and motion pictures. Music critic John Rockwell said, "Ives's voice ... had the sheen and finesse of opera without its latter-day Puccinian vulgarities and without the pretensions of operatic ritual. It was genteel in expressive impact without being genteel in social conformity. And it moved people."
