Hi Sandee. Dale has moved out of the nursing home to be with his wife once more. I'm afraid that I can't give his new address but I will copy your note and send it to them next time I write. Dale isn't very mobile now but I am sure he is delighted to be home with his wife again! I also love listening to Dale's CD. I was amazed to find that he sang so well and he told me that he had written two of the songs and contributed to a third.

Is there an update on Dale's health? I hope that he and Susan are doing well. I always send him a birthday card-where do I send it this year? Was he able to leave the nursing home? I think of him daily and still listen to his CD every day.

Anne, I check this site every so often and copy what is new so I can send messages to Dale and his wife. I was really very lucky as a lady in Arizona suggested I fly from the UK to a Western Show in Scottsdale in 2001. At the same time, I contacted Dale's website, no longer running, to tell them of errors. Dale's wife replied and thus started an email relationship. She warned Dale that I would be going to the Festival so when I arrived, he knew who I was! I then went to 4 more festivals until the last one in 2004 and was able to help him out on his stall, taking his money while he signed autographs. He stopped using his computer after his heart operation in 2005 so I now keep in contact with his wife. The amazing thing for me was the fact that his character was so much like his character on Tales of Wells Fargo so I knew him pretty well. Cheers, Jeannine

As I said in my recent posting, I have loved Dale since 1951, I came to Toronto, Canada in1957 and brought 1000 (one thousand) photos of him I had( collected over the years, some with his signature, photos that I had sent for (before I left Glasgow, Scotland). I have just recently got a computer and look him up often, I only found out tonight from reading this section hat he is not well, I am sad about that. Maybe I might hear from someone, thank you

Judy, Dale doesn't sign autographs anymore and his wife returns all written requests straight back to the senders. Dale has various medical problems now and can no longer hold a pen properly. However, I have copied your email and will post it to Dale when I write this week. I am sure he will be happy to know that you have not forgotten him. Jeannine

I knew Susan and Nancy Robbins back in LA in the middle sixties: Nancy married radio exec. Tim Sullivan and last I knew they lived in Rancho Sante Fe; Nancy and Susan were identical twins. I'd love to connect again with both of them. Jere Moorman

For Janie Lindal: I have copied your note and will include it with my next letter to Dale. For Vicki Jennings: Susan emailed to say that she didn't know how to contact you. I did try to leave a message with my email address so that you could contact me for Susan's address but the website did not publish it. I have looked up your name and I'm afraid that there are too many ladies with your name who live in the USA. You could try writing to the Yukon Post Office and put your name and address on the front of the envelope. They might be able to put it in Susan's box number. Jeannine Audcent

It`s a small world. I not only was a freind of Allen Brewer, but I was in the Army with Dayle. Allen lived on Todd`s Road in Lexington, Ky and we spent a lot of time together at parties, especially the Welchs. Dayle and I graduated from Armored OCS at Ft. Knox on June 3, 1944. The last time I saw Dayle, he was with Allen in Louisville during a rodeo. I still remember the crazy little songs that Dayle used to sing and I have a real funny story that I would tell about him. I hope that he is doing well. Unfortunatley, most of our old army buddies from Knox I have lost touch with.

Sean, I have copied all the comments on this website to send to Dale. He hasn`t been very well for the last few years and he stopped using his computer in 2005 so he won`t have seen your message. I am sure he will remember your Father, as he has a wonderful memory and really did care about the people he met. I expect he will be delighted to read your message and I`m sure it will bring back some pleasant memories for him. I can`t give you his address as his wife is now returning all unsolicited mail back to the senders, as Dale`s autograph is no longer recognisable. I was lucky, I met up with him at several festivals and got to know him before he became less fit! Cheers, Jeannine

Hi Dale, I have been a fan or yours for many years. I loved your show Wells Fargo. My husband was in the Air Force and was gone quite a bit, I never missed your show. My boys knew when you were on, not to bother me. We were stationed in Lubbock, Texas, when you were there at a rodeo we went to see you. When you rode around the arena all the kids climed the fence and you shook their hands. My husband said he was sure I would be on the fence waiting for you to shake my hand.. Thank you so much for for the great shows we all enjoyed.

Mr Dale Robertson. HI, I remember you used to come to a little town named Fowler Calif, If you recall you used to be friends with Mr Sam Parnagian who had a packing house in our little town. Once Mr Parnagian brought you to the packing house to show you around, You were so courteous that you went around the aisle and shook hands with all the packers which were quite a few ladies. I was fortunate to be one of them. What a thrill that was. Thank you for all the joy you brought to all your fans. We enjoyed all your movies. A Fan Harriet

Hi Dale, My wife and I met you several years ago at the Hollywood Celebrity Show in Burbank. I got a great autographed photo of you in a light hat, mustache and light coat, a more recent photo. I thought this photo of you showed great character. It has been hanging in my office since, I look at it every day, and remember all the good times I had watching your shows and films. Hope all is well with you. Best regards, Curtis

Hello Gerald, Dale doesn`t use his computer now but I will send your message to him as I am writing to him this weekend. He is the most comfortable of men to be with. He is happily married, honest, thoughtful but also outspoken with his ideals and you can sit and be quiet with him and feel totally at ease.

Biography

Dayle Lymoine Robertson (July 14, 1923 – February 27, 2013) was an American actor best known for his starring roles on television. He played the roving investigator Jim Hardie in the NBC/ABC television series Tales of Wells Fargo, and Ben Calhoun, the owner of an incomplete railroad line in ABC's The Iron Horse. He was often presented as a deceptively thoughtful but modest western hero. From 1968 to 1970, Robertson was the fourth and final host of the syndicated Death Valley Days anthology series.
