Jay Allen Bruce (born April 3, 1987) is an American professional baseball corner outfielder who is a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Cincinnati Reds, New York Mets, Cleveland Indians, Seattle Mariners, and Philadelphia Phillies. The Reds drafted Bruce in the first round, 12th overall pick, of the 2005 Major League Baseball draft; he made his MLB debut in 2008. Bruce has been named an All-Star three times during his career, and has won the Silver Slugger Award twice.
