Anthony Rota MP (born May 15, 1961) is a Canadian politician who is the 37th and current Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada since 2019. A member of the Liberal Party, he currently serves as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the riding of Nipissing—Timiskaming. He previously represented Nipissing—Timiskaming as MP from 2004 to 2011. On December 5, 2019, he was elected by the House of Commons to be the Speaker in the 43rd Parliament.
