Albita Rivera Ramirez is a representative in the Puerto Rican House of Representatives for the Third District of San Juan. Rep. Rivera is a member of the NPP or New Progressive Party (PNP in Spanish), which promotes the eventual statehood of the island nation. Previously she held the positions of State Senator (1985–1989) and Director of the Puerto Rican Office of Woman's Affairs.
