Colleen Ross was born in Toledo Ohio, and grew up in the 1950s. Colleen began all of her actual painting from the age of thirteen. She was graduated from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio with a Bachelors of Science in Art Education with a minor in painting. Colleen taught art for two years in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In 1979, after moving to Arizona, Colleen Ross launched her professional career with the Upstairs Gallery, with several sell out one-woman shows.
