Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis was so devastated after learning his live-in fiancée Olivia Wilde had taken up with Harry Styles, he flung himself under her car in a desperate bid to prevent her from leaving to visit the British superstar, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal.
And despite Wilde's insistence that her split from Sudeikis was 'initially friendly,' in fact it left the blindsided Sudeikis distraught and drinking heavily alone at home and ranting to the couple's nanny: 'She's f***ing someone else.'
The nanny who was caught in the middle of the warring pair, has now spoken out in a blockbuster interview with DailyMail.com, detailing how Sudeikis was left heartbroken, Wilde besotted with her new man, and their two young children, Otis, eight, and Daisy, six, caught in a legal tug of war between them.
Wilde, 38, has always insisted that she and Sudeikis parted ways in early 2020 and her affair with former boybander Styles started months later.
She told Vanity Fair: 'The complete horses**t idea that I left Jason for Harry is completely inaccurate. Our relationship was over long before I met Harry.'
But in fact, she was talking of marriage to Sudeikis as late as October that year, the nanny said, and broke up with Sudeikis a month later, just weeks after she began filming Don't Worry Darling with Styles in Palm Springs, California.
Far from being a mutual decision, DailyMail.com can disclose Wilde's decision left Sudeikis blindsided and saw him on one occasion make a desperate attempt to stop her from leaving their home to go see Styles by lying under her car.
The nanny, who DailyMail.com has agreed not to identify, shared details of the couple's demise and a series of incendiary texts detailing how Sudeikis was left heartbroken by Wilde's sudden cutting of ties.

In a joint statement to DailyMail.com, Wilde and Sudeikis said: 'As parents, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that a former nanny of our two young children would choose to make such false and scurrilous accusations about us publicly.
'Her now 18 month long campaign of harassing us, as well as loved ones, close friends and colleagues, has reached its unfortunate apex.
'We will continue to focus on raising and protecting our children with the sincere hope that she will now choose to leave our family alone.'
Sudeikis and Wilde began dating in 2011 and became engaged in 2013. They share two children, son Otis and daughter Daisy.
The nanny said she never noticed problems with her employers' relationship during the three years she spent working for the family.
In fact, just a month before Wilde dumped Sudeikis - on November 8, 2020 - the actress spoke to staff about her plans to marry him and to make their daughter Daisy a flower girl, the insider revealed.
But that all changed after Wilde met Styles and swiftly fell for the singer, with the nanny claiming she even appeared visibly 'giddy' and giggly around him when she took Daisy to visit her on set.
Wilde began spending more and more time away from home citing work and eventually moved into the nearby $1,650-a-night Paramour Estate Hotel in LA at the start of November 2020.
She told her oblivious fiancé the move was due to a Covid outbreak on set but later dumped Sudeikis during a visit to the house they shared on November 8.
Distraught Sudeikis later uncovered the full details of her relationship with Styles by reading messages on an Apple watch Wilde had left behind – and swiftly banned the nanny from playing Styles' music near their children.
In a furious rant, he said she had 'put the move on' the former boy band star during a cast dinner in Palm Springs, California, where she also kissed him for the first time.
The nanny said: 'It was supposed to be a temporary break for Covid but that turned out to be how she left us. He thought it was a temporary break.
'On the Monday morning November 9, when I came back from a weekend off he was crying a lot, crying and crying. I didn't know what had happened at all.
'After I'd got the kids ready, Jason came upstairs and was having some coffee. He was crying and a mess, saying, 'she left us. She left us!''
'He was just out of control crying. I didn't know what to say. He was just crying and crying and saying he was going to get her back and he loved her.
'He was so brokenhearted – I felt for him.'
The nanny added: 'He started telling me details [of her relationship with Styles] and he said 'she put the move on him. She put the first move on him'.'
'She kissed him at one of the dinners they had for the cast in Palm Springs. She did that,' Sudeikis told the nanny.
On November 13, Wilde – who was briefly staying at the family house while Sudeikis was away – went to a party with Styles in Silver Lake before getting home at 4am.
Two days later, Wilde infuriated Sudeikis by preparing a salad for Styles with her 'special dressing' in the family kitchen – leaving him ranting furiously at her and filming the encounter, before he tried to prevent her leaving by lying under the car.
The nanny explained: 'The night she left with her salad, Jason had chased after her, videotaping her in the house.
'She was saying: 'I'm scared of you, Jason, I'm scared of you'. And he said: 'If you're scared of me, why are you leaving your kids with me'?'
'So then, Jason went outside and lay under her car so she wouldn't leave. She got in her car to back up, he lay under her car so she wouldn't leave.
'She went back into the house and he went in, it was back and forth. He said he was doing it on purpose to make her late going to see Harry.'
The nanny added: 'Jason told me: 'She made this salad and she made her special dressing and she's leaving with her salad to have dinner with [Harry].'
'I said, what salad dressing? He said: 'She has a special salad dressing she makes for us and she's taken it to have it with him now'. I don't know what was in it.
'Out of everything, he was like, 'she made her special salad dressing and took it to him.''
Despite agreeing to attend relationship therapy sessions with Sudeikis, DailyMail.com can reveal Wilde became so besotted with Styles, the family's therapist compared her need for him to a drug addiction.
The nanny said: 'Olivia never took those therapy sessions seriously. She didn't want to go – Jason wanted her to go.
'She had no intention of repairing things with him. I think it made her look good – there were those pictures of her giving Jason a hug after therapy and it just showed they were ending things in a really nice way.
'That was a lie – Jason was brokenhearted the whole time. It wasn't, oh things are all good now.'
The nanny said Wilde's exit triggered a spiral of erratic behavior in Sudeikis including making his nightly drinking habit worse.
The nanny said Wilde had repeatedly told her she couldn't get a signal to call her children and she only realized she was with Styles when photographs appeared in the media.
She said: 'The thing about that was when Olivia left Jason, as she was filming and going out with Harry, she was still leaving him voicemails and texts saying she loved him and he was her everything.
'He let me read them and hear them. Jason was like, 'she was just here naked in the swimming pool and she was naked in our bed.'
'When I saw Olivia holding hands as a couple with Harry – I couldn't believe it. Just a month before when we were in LA, she was sending Jason messages saying she loved him.
'So, it was like, how can she be in this relationship, and then holding hands with someone else a month later? It was a lot of mixed messages.'
The nanny said Sudeikis was having a hard time coping with her departure, appearing happy some days because 'he was working on himself', but would appear upset on others.
'Then there were some days where he was just angry and cursing names at her to me,' she said.
'Jason would say: 'I'm tired of this f***ing sh*t. It's because of Olivia. She left us.'
