Kit Harington has revealed that he's single at the moment.
The 28-year-old British actor, who is notoriously private about his dating life, was previously linked to his "Game of Thrones" co-star Rose Leslie, 27, who played the wilding warrior Ygritte on the series.
"I'll never talk about any particular relationship I've been in. But I will say I'm single at the moment," Harington, who portrays Jon Snow on the hit HBO fantasy drama series, told GQ magazine.
Harington and Leslie, both London residents, knew each other before they were even cast on the TV adaptation of George R.R. Martin's novel series "A Song of Ice and Fire," but their friendship turned romantic while working on set, according to Us Weekly.
The two reportedly ended their one-year relationship in August 2013. But a year later, it was reported that they were dating again.
"They've been back on for about three months," an insider tells Us Weekly this past August. "That said, it's casual right now and they're having fun. They're not moving in together or anything like that yet."
Apparently, their relationship didn't work out the second time. Harington, who is currently busy promoting his new film "Testament of Youth," opened up to GQ magazine about why keeping a relationship for actors like him is difficult.
"Relationships as an actor are incredibly difficult with someone who's not an actor, because they never get to see you, and with someone who is an actor, because you're ships in the night a lot of the time," the actor explained.
"I mean, ideally, if you keep acting in the film world, you're a travelling salesman," Harington continued. "And your options are: sacrifice a lot of your career, to make sure it's not unfair on the other person, or find someone who is willing to be your travelling circus. That's where I stand, and I'm trying to address it at the moment."
Despite being single at the moment, Harington said that he's "happy." "I'm in a comfortable place. But I have to actively remember to recognize that a lot of the time," he said.
